The continued success of this 34-year-old event relies on the generosity of the Ballard business community, as does the Ballard Chamber of Commerce, which celebrates 81 years of service in 2008. Sponsor donations of funds, goods and services, and volunteers make SeafoodFest possible. Though foremost a giant celebration of the unique spirit of Ballard, SeafoodFest also raises funds for the ongoing operations of the Chamber. Without financial support from local governmental entities, fundraising is a necessity.
