Ballard Seafood Fest

Kids Activities

Get ready for some GIANT-SIZED fun!

SeafoodFest has things for all ages, but SeafoodFest especially loves kids! Whether you’re musically-inclined, physically-inclined or can’t resist clouds and clouds of cotton candy, SeafoodFest has it all. And P.S. you can bring your parents along too!

Fin, the Migrating Salmon
That 25-foot behemoth is back for another SeafoodFest. Thanks to Save the Wild Salmon, Fin’s creators, you can crawl through his insides and learn all about the amazing life cycle of salmon. But don’t worry, there are no slimy guts and it’s not like being swallowed by a whale. Fin is a friendly fellow and a really cool way to learn some your biology.

Giant Inflatables
What’s really big, air-filled and absolutely irresistible?  No, not angel food cake!  It’s The Giant Inflatables sponsored by Philadelphia Church.  They’re bringing some brightly-colored and enormous slides, plus a boisterous bouncy obstacle course.  Jump on in and play!

Seattle Children’s Around-the-World Obstacle Course
Want to hike the Grand Canyon?  Swim the Atlantic?  Seattle Children’s (formerly Children’s Orthopedic Hospital) offers all that and more at the for-kids-of-all-ages Obstacle Course at Ballard Commons.  Test your agility on the balance beam, fly through hula hoops, navigate traffic cones.  We’re delighted to welcome Seattle Children’s in this, their very first appearance at SeafoodFest.

Seattle’s Child

Play, learn & grow with Seattle’s Child.  Stop by their spot at Ballard Commons and get a balloon and some cool seeds from the Harvest Coalition.  And these aren’t just any old balloons, they’re bio-degradable!

My ID Club

The King County Police Union once again provides the tools for keeping kids safe. Get your child’s photograph/fingerprint ID card, along with a Child Safety manual, free of charge.

Jay Dotson Photography
Yes, live-and-in-person photo magnets of your kids and pets ON THE SPOT!

Ballard’s Station 18 Firefighters
Stop by to check out fire engines, get your own personal tour and dream of a future as a firefighter.  Yes, you can!
